on the horizon, the UCI and its partner
Santini launched
Ride Your Colours.
The project enables National
Federations
to equip their athletes with
distinctive kits in their nation's colours,
so every rider can proudly represent
their country on the start line
in Canada.
In total, 41 National Federations with varying levels of resources benefit from this initiative.
Almost 1,000 kits have been produced, ensuring every competing athlete races in high-quality, custom-designed gear. It's just the start.
The Ride Your Colours project is set to continue next year, helping athletes compete in the best possible conditions as they take on the world's best.

Ride Your Colours builds on the UCI's Solidarity Programme, launched in 2018 to support the international development of cycling by aiding Continental Confederations and National Federations.
In line with Agenda 2030 and led by the UCI's International Relations department, Ride Your Colours reflects the UCI's commitment to reducing the gap between established cycling nations and those that have fewer resources.
For every rider included in this initiative, competing at the UCI Road World Championships is not just a sporting achievement. It's a unique opportunity to highlight their national colours and show the world that they are present on the international stage.
In 2026, National Federations across Africa, America, Asia and Europe are benefiting from the Ride Your Colours project for the UCI Road World Championships in Montréal, Canada. The project is expected to continue and include more National Federations ahead of the 2027 UCI Cycling World Championships in Haute-Savoie, France.

of the UCI Solidarity Programme

The idea for Ride your Colours was born after Santini's emergency production of national kits for the 2025 UCI Road World Championships. The event in Kigali, Rwanda, saw the participation of athletes from a record 36 African nations. For some, it was their first experience representing their country at this level. Enter Santini, the UCI's Official Partner and long-standing partner of the UCI's Solidarity Programme. The Italian producer of cycling clothing sprang into action, crafting jerseys to ensure all athletes on the start line could race in their national colours.
UCI President David Lappartient expressed his desire to see this initiative continue, and discussions began in January 2026. Working together with the UCI, Santini partnered closely with every Federation to design kits that capture each nation's identity: its colours, symbols, and culture. The result is some 1,000 unique, personalised kits, hand-produced in Santini's Bergamo workshops with a level of craftsmanship and attention to detail that speaks for itself. Santini was quick to rise to the ambitious challenge: design, produce, and deliver custom kits for 41 National Federations on a tight timeline, without compromising quality.
